Equipped to Preach the Word Module 3, entitled Equipped with the Scriptures, covers the unity of the Bible with its central focus on the Lord Jesus Christ. It also contains instruction on how to handle the major Bible genres of poetry, prophecy, narrative, wisdom and epistles. 
As with previous modules, there is a sequence of eight teaching units with accompanying manuals of examples and exercises. As you use this course you will want to adapt it to fit your local context and your trainees’ level of understanding.

Equipped to Preach the Word Module 2, entitled Equipped with the Skills, is all about how to develop Bible handling skills and moves from the more theological approach of Module 1 to a very practical and pragmatic approach to preaching.

As with Module 1, this second module comprises 8 training Units. Again, these Units can be taught over 8 weeks or over an intensive 2 day workshop. Each Unit provides about 15 minutes of teaching videos and the Equipped to Preach the Word Module 2 manuals provide a series of questions and exercises that follow on from the videos and should be used to discuss and develop the teaching material.

As you use this course you will want to adapt it to fit your local context and your trainees’ level of understanding.

Welcome to Equipped to Preach the Word Module 1. This first module is entitled Equipped by the Lord because together we recognise that all Scripture is the expression of the Lord’s mind and heart, which instructs us not only what to preach, but also how to preach it. And the same Spirit, who inspired the Bible writers, also illuminates the understanding of Bible readers and empowers the proclamation of Bible preachers.

The module consists of 8 Units. These Units can be taught over 8 weeks or over an intensive 2 day workshop. Each Unit can take 60 minutes or 2 hours to complete depending on your circumstances and the dynamics of your training context.

Each Unit provides about 20 minutes of teaching videos. Sometimes all the teaching material will be presented in one video and sometimes there will be 2 videos interspersed with discussion time. The Equipped to Preach the Word manuals provide a series of questions and exercises that follow on from the videos and should be used to discuss and develop the teaching material.
